Ads now on TBN App

I updated my app and now very sadly I have ads on the bottom of every thread. I find it really annoying, what about you guys?

I thought there was another thread on the new Ads but I couldn't find it.

I guess they needed more revenue, not as bad as some forums I've seen. There expenses like everything else costs more these days.

I was thinking the same thing, the ads are for goofy sh*t too. It was a huge bummer

Glad I'm not the only one that noticed this. I understand the need to make money, but find myself not going to TBN on my phone as much as I used to during the day.

I use the old tbn app (not tapatalk) and Adblock Plus. No ads at all.

I don't find it to be that big a deal ... and don't expect for something to be provided for free to me with no strings whatsoever.

I never see ads because I am almost always on a desktop or laptop with Adblock Plus on my browser (Firefox). I did log on last weekend on my phone to answer a private message, and that was the first time I've ever seen ads here. No app, just straight through with my iPhone Safari browser. I was initially shocked, but I never hold that against any forum admins. As noted earlier, they have to pay the bills here somehow.

I really appreciate that, ads that would make a lot more sense would be tractor related or even tools, Home Depot/ Lowes discount ads, something like that.

I was getting them on random video games, links for viral videos ext, nothing I was even slightly interested in clicking on.

Seeing a JD ad about there packages on tractors or a new and upcoming Case tractor would interest me and wouldn't bother me as much as long as they weren't overbearing.

Like others have said, we appreciate you offering a free site for us to chat and share knowledge, mostly tractor related info. We understand you have to make money to keep the site up.
