I use a Kubota B2410 with a 60" rear blade and a FEL to clear snow off a long (1200') blacktop drive for our development area. Tractor/blade combination works great, however I have been surprised by having autos pull up closely behind without my knowlege. Although I do turn around to look back quite frequently, I would feel safer with a mirror setup to monitor any traffic behind me. Sounds simple, but I have been unable to find a suitable mirror/mounting combination to use. What I am thinking is to add a mirror to the LA352 Loader frame on the side or attach to the top crossbar brace (near the driver). Looked at both motorcycle and ATV mirrors and cannot find any mirrors specifically for tractors. What am I missing? Anyone already devised a solution or found a tractor mirror source? Any advice appreciated.

Larry, here's a pic showing the rearview mirror mounted on my JD. There's one on each side.

Gives me a good wide angle view too!

Thanks for the quick response. Looks like a good solution. How did you attach the mirrors to the FEL frame?

Double back tape. Seems to work out well.

Going into my second winter season with them mounted on the tractor.

You could also use the stick on wide angle mirrors made to attach to pickup truck mirrors when towing.

I've used silicon to attach mirror glass that had fallen out, a "wing" window that had rusted out of the track on an old truck and other projects. Works amazingly well. Hold it on with tape until the silicon sets up.

Mike, you can do that, and they're better than nothing, but as you know, with the wide angle or convex mirrors "Objects in mirror are closer than they appear." I have my rear view mirror mounted under my canopy - seems to be the best place if you have a canopy./w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif And I originally had a 5" convex mirror. It served the purpose, but I wasn't too pleased with it and recently replaced it with a 5" x 7" flat mirror.

Now who would be that guy sneaking up w/no shirt on trying to get your Kubota coffee cup holder. /w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif

I use the circle mirrors on the fel post, and was suprise how much reflection it gathers from head light..just another safty tool,,mostly for winter.
Looks like our first 5" snow storm coming today. /w3tcompact/icons/hmm.gif

Thomas, tell the truth now that's really fire engine red /w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif and you've seen my coffee cup too. /w3tcompact/icons/love.gif

I remember when you first posted about your fel post mounted mirrors./w3tcompact/icons/grin.gif

Over here there there sayin' an 80% chance of precipitation between midnight tonight and 4:00 AM Mon. morn with 3" total accumulation overnite and another possible 1'' during the day tomorrow.

We are supposed to get about 3 inches...finally. Maybe 5 to 7 up in the northwest corner of CT. Sometimes I think you guys are physic /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif I just looked at my tractor yesterday trying to imagine where I would put a mirror /w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif. I definetely need to attach some type of cup holder. Maybe I will run up and get that kubota one, as it was misinstalled on a john deere /w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif

I haven't seen that type of JD cup down in these parts /w3tcompact/icons/hmm.gifbut than again for some strange reason not to many tractor dealers carry coffee cups either. /w3tcompact/icons/shocked.gif
Here is a good combo. /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

Thomas, I hear ya loud n' clear on that.

A couple of seasons back my wife went to the local New Holland dealer to purchase a nationally advertised NH Collector's Christmas Tree Ornament to give to her folks.

Owner replied "We don't get too many requests like that."

"They all usually go shopping at the mall" /w3tcompact/icons/shocked.gif

He did special order it for her though. /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

BTW I brightened the picture a little. Hope you like it.
