Kubota B9200 HSTD and Mahindra 3015

I have one of the SurplusCenter Prince/Wolverine multi spool valves for a remote on the Kubota and looking to add rear remotes on the Mahindra.
Wondering why the SurplusCenter/Prince/Wolverine four spool above is twice the price of the Summit four spool.

Anyone with Summit hydraulics experience?

Prince is a premium brand.

Why does Deere cost more than LS or TYM.

No experience with summit, my valve is a cheap chief brand I think. It's fine.

"Prince is a premium brand" Are you saying that because of experience with the pros and cons of various brands or because the Prince costs twice as much?

Doesn't look like either the Chief or Bailey are cheap.
I'm guessing that all these valves have load checks but could be wrong. My Prince Wolverine has load checks and they are a nuisance when wanting to lower a load with the tractor engine off. I guess they serve their purpose, though, of preventing a sudden load drop when shifting the loader vavvle.

The Chief and Summit valve is just a rebranded Badestnost valve made in Bulgaria. I have the same exact valve on my homemade backhoe, two actually, and the 4 spool one cost me around $225 like 10 or 12 years ago. It's a very basic valve, so no load check valves and while being one of the cheapest valves available, they do have some nice quality and low internal leakage.

Another thing, the load check valves won't prevent you from lowering a load with the engine off. You can still do it just fine.

I am able to lower a load with the engine off but it takes forever with the Prince valve. It acts like the load check is holding it but there is a very slight leakage past. I would be really interested to know how these load checks actually function. I realize that their purpose is to keep the load from suddenly dropping while the valve is being shifted. Most, if not all, directional valves that I've used in the last 60 years will let a load drop very fast with the engine shut off and spool shifted? Maybe someone can enlighten me?

I have load checks on my used loader valve and it can and will lower just fine with the engine off at whatever speed I or gravity desires. It's a Rexroth-Sicma valve out of either a older Case backhoe or skidsteer.

The remote valve of the tractor also has a load check valve and it will also let the hydraulic top link extend just fine with the engine off with the implement in the air.

I havent used the summit valves because i got lucky to find a deal on prince when i put remotes on a few tractors but ive used quite a few summit fittings and couplers and i was really impressed considering the low cost and havent had any issues with them yet.

I'm saying it based on reputation.

Snapon is a premium brand.... But what can a snapon wrench or socket so that a kobalt, craftsman, Napa, or harbor freight one can't.....(other than bankrupt you).

Similar. No idea which one is better. Or if you could even tell a difference.

The perception is that prince is top tier. Thus costs more.

Same for their cylinders. Price a chief or maxim or magistar cylinder then price a prince.

Did a little research on Badestnost and found them to be very interesting and professional. I noticed that they have a different description of a "valve to operate a cylinder or motor":

Description: Manually or mechanically controlled hydraulic distributor Р35 is designed for distribution and control of work flow between generator (pump) and executive mechanisms (cylinder, hydro-motor, etc.). Relief valve is integrated therein.
