Adding A Tach

Since my Kubota BX23 has no tach, I usually run it by "feel" but never max out the throttle...Would like to stay consistent rpm wise for my tiller and other implements run off the pto...Does anyone have an after market tach they've attached to their tractor that they would endorse? Thanks.

I would love to have a small analog Tach for my 2350 but I have never came across one. I hate digital tach's I don't know why Kubota would build a tractor with out a analog tach?

I like the Tiny Tach and have it. 3 problems. Batteries may be an issue, they have not been for me. Connector at engine should be painted over if exposed. Cable need to be electrical interfernence free.

A bit hard to read, but I love having the hour meters and such. All in all a purchase that I am very happy with.

Datcon makes some nice 3 3/8" tachs. You can get them in magnetic pickup, ignition, or alt. pole driven. Also with or without hour meter. All are sweep hand (analog display) and available in 0-3000, 0-4000 and 0-6000rpm. Datcon also makes other matching gauges. (amp, oil, etc.)

If you get the mag. style, don't forget the pickup sensor.

Just remember that diesel tachs need a sender as there obviously is no electrical spark signal to pick up. So get that too (normally sold separately).
