Added a Rear View Mirror

That's why I went big ... and adjustable. I can position mine high, low or to either side as necessary based on what I'm doing or need to see. I just can't bend and crane my neck the way I used to.

I like to be able to see if a vehicle is coming a quarter of a mile down the road.

That probably depends if their lights are on ;-)

Seriously, the viewing experience is the same as most passenger side mirrors, so, for that requirement, it's probably time to break out the welding torch and/or drills and taps to mount a large flat mirror... and keep an eye out for low branches.

For the price as well as the installation requirements, it's easy to give one a try.

A vehicle flying down the back roads at 85 KPH can be on you pretty quick.

I went 'big' after trying the small, round, mirror type. I found a generic 'Van' replacement mirror (with mounting arm) at my local autoparts shop.

The local fabrication shop knocked up a mounting plate to fit the holes on my FEL post. I ensured that I cut a rubber gasket between the plate and the FEL to cut down on vibration; the result was no discernible vibration at all.
