Nope - there is no known cure and no effective treatment. Much like Gravely Attachment Disorder.
I actually acquired a second PT425 with attachments for no good reason other than it was a good trade for my Zetor Zebra.

I would buy the root grapple.

As others have stated adding a grapple to a PT bucket would not be nearly as useful. The sides of the bucket make it difficult to grab awkward, oversized objects. The most common use of solid bottomed grapple buckets is moving scrap steel or construction debris. The solid bottom keeps the small bits from falling out, but even those have the sides cut down considerably.
