A journey begins & an era ends ... I say goodbye to my R4047

Well ... it's time to say goodbye to my R4047. Sold her to a gentleman thru the forum here, and I'll be transporting her to Nebraska. Changed the oil in the truck and got her all loaded up on the trailer; I'll be heading out tonight after midnight.

I'll be stopping at "Iowa Farm Equipment" on the way, almost directly in the middle actually ... picking up a new implement for the tractor to bring home. Actually, they're an LS dealer too.

Should be a nice trip, hopefully the weather stays mild so the roads are clear. If any interesting photo ops present themselves, I'll be sure to share them.

I wish, but i have to be back at school on Tuesday and would be a lot of driving time. When you unload it you can park it next to our John Deere 5075E.

Wonderful ... just west of Joliet, I'm running into a snow storm now, so the going is a little slower than I'd planned. Luckily, looks like the worst of it will come later on this evening. ... and once I get into Iowa, it should already have passed. Never a dull moment on a road trip.

Well, finally just crossed the Mississippi, into Iowa now ... stupid snow storm has had me going 30 mph for the last hour.

But luckily, it looks like I should be through the storm within the next 30 minutes. Seeing the LS in the rearview mirror the whole time makes me sad ... I think I became too attached lol
