Hi, Just bought a 98 Scott 15/42 lawn tractor sold by a gentleman that was unhappy with the cut. Said the deck had issues that the leveling procedure didn't cure. Also had fuel shut-off valve added. I repaired the sticking float in the carb and adjusted the choke so I could open the throttle without choking the engine and now have the RPM and power to get an even cut. I know from online research that this is not a real popular machine but I like it. It is my first tractor with the hydrostatic drive and I'm impressed. I had to change oil and filter due to gas in the oil and was relieved to find NAPA Gold filters for Kohler engines for under $5.00 as opposed to 9-14 bucks for the Kohler brand. Hope this helps somebody.

Glad to be here. My sister and her significant other near Hermitage Missouri have an old 20 HP Satoh with bucket and drag blade. They run a business called "VintageOzarks.com" and specialize in barn find vehicles but I have never heard of them selling an old tractor. Think I'll ask them why.
