How much flow (gpm) from hydraulic pump to operate implements.

The flow is different for different implements. You will be limited to the GPM's that your tractor produces, unless you add a PTO pump. but you still need to figure the HP. The hyd motor on the implement would be designed, taking into account, width, speed, mass/weight needed to turn and maintain a constant force, etc. The more HP and more GPM's, the larger implement you can pull and operate.

My question is what is the flow from the tractors hydralic pump. With tractor turning 1800 rpm's how many gpm for a log splitter with a 4 x 24 cylinder. I like to run it around 1200-1400 rpm's what would be the gpm? I think the tractor is rated @ 45 pto HP. From what I read you need 11 gpm for a 4 x 24 cylinder.

Only you would know the pump output. The pressure will be what the relief valve is set at. The rpms dictate the GPM available. A log splitter will run with any pressure up to the pressure limit of the components, and any GPM. Higher pressure, more force. More GPM's faster operation.

According to TractorData, your 3930 has a flow of 8 GPM. That rating is usually at the 540 RPM PTO speed indicated on your tachometer.

8 GPM for tractors with a single pump. If fitted with the auxiliary engine mounted pump (left rear of the engine block with spin on filter oriented horozontally inline with chassis), a combined flow of about 16GPM is available at the remote couplers.
