Since this isnt my machine and I have no manuals, I see that it has 2 drain plugs (one in the front, one at the rear).. So i drained it from both, pull the strainer, decided to replace it along w/ the hydraulic filter.. My question is do i need to fill in 2 places on the trans now or does the main fill hole fill everything? Thanks

Joe

Just fill with THF (Tractor Hydraulic Fluid) through the hole with the dipstick next to the gearshift on top of the trans. Fill to proper mark on dipstick. Run the hydraulics (if any) through their full range of motion and recheck. The trans sump is also the reservoir for the hydraulic system. The reason for two drains is that the design of the trans allows oil to collect in two sumps and the oil won't all drain through one drain.
