This is the first time I really got to use the 419 loader on my 790. with only 8 hours I felt It was time to give it to her! I ordered 22 yards of 1/2 traffic bond gravel to fix up my 700 foot driveway. Moved the majority only in a hour and a half.
Loader would not move if you took too much off the bottom. but with practice I WAS able to fully load and lift the bucket. a full bucket is much more than what they say it can handle. I am pleased with the results. I feel no need to play with pressure settings. this material is about as heavy as you will find.

Rating B+

for what the tractor is, I'm Impressed!

Glad the loader is working nicely for you.
Yep... with a full load it doesn't like to come up very high. It doesn't bother me at all. I like heavy loads near the ground anyway.
A pile of stone is good practice/experience. When you go at a pile of fill dirt/clay or something packed in hard, you may have to try a couple other techniques to get the material loose and loaded.

Strongly suggest you up your front tire pressure to around 23 PSI or so...

It does help...

The only problem I have had was trying to lift full buckets of gravel dust and dump them into the dog kennels. The fence is about 5' high and I would have to empty about 25% of my load to get it high enough. With regular driveway gravel - I haven't had a problem.....
