I tried to figure out how to read the bucket level indicator, finally realized it's bent (doesn't protrude the end of the tube in any bucket position). The tractor has less than 2 hours (moving dirt / gravel), I don't get how it got bent so badly. Was it not aligned / installed correctly? or bucket contacting ground (scraping surface, or lower it too much that the loader slightly lifting the front end) could easily damage the rod?

I bent mine as well, though hell if I can remember why and how.

I bit the bullet and purchased a new one.

Wondering if those nuts on the pins were too tight and didn't let the rod and tube pivot as the cylinder extended/retracted.

Oh yeah...went through that also. Discovered the lock nut loosened and the lower guide tube dropped.
Took rod, used holes on the box blade bent the snot out of it. Reassembled.
Lasted for a few years until three months ago. top portion hung up on a oak branch while backing away and the indicator lost.
bought another assembly, used blue loctite and back in service.....
