The 72D MMM blade part # from JD is TCU15882 and they are $26.72

Has anyone found an alternative source for blades other than JD which maybe less costly?

Thanks

IMO, thats not a bad price. FWIW, when I got my F935/72" Front Mount I put all new JD Blades on it....approx the same price as you quoted and were very high quality. Last summer after hearing such good things about the Gator blades I bought a set of them, yes they were cheaper, but they were also thinner....
Cant beat the quality of the JD Blades, Plus, I dunno if its just me, but I find the Genuine JD blade holds a sharp edge longer then the aftermarket blades...

You get what you pay for....

Dave,

Thanks. Still awaitng delivery of the 3520 tractor, 72D MMM, 300CX, Front Blade, I-match, and ballast box. So I have not yet seen the blades but wanted to buy a 2nd set to put into the rotation. My 60" exmark blades were about half the cost of the JD so just wanted to make sure it was a decent price. I agree you get what you pay for...

All that being said...I bought a set of the "Gator" blades to put in my rotation, but seriously, they are my primary blades now...I love the way they work.... My Genuine JD blades are backup more then anything now...

For less than the price of a set of blades, I bought a Bench Grinder and sharpened the old set. Figure that should work or a few years at least.

Your tractor is a 2008. What are you mowing? Rocks??:D :)

How do the gator blades do when they encounter woody weeds? I've got native grasses taking hold from wind blown seed and driving out the weeds; but there are still patches of ripe juicy tumbleweeds and other stuff in the yard.

I got my Gator blades today. They are very impressive. They are not Deere . They are made by Oregon and have a Gator emblem and MADE IN USA stamped on the bottom. I wonder if Oregon makes the Gator blades for Deere?? Now if they cut as well as they look I will be tickled "green".

I got my gator blades from the dealer, but they were made by Oregon.. I love the smaller clippings they produce and would certainly recommend them..

Jacks small engines sells the gator blades (and oem) online.. there is also a JD dealer on ebay selling Gator blades, but Jacks were much cheaper even when you added in shipping..
