60\" compaired to 54\" MMM

Could any one give me some pro and con of the 60" MMM compared to the 54" MMM beside's the 6" difference

Do not know which tractor you are interested in, BUT, for a BX2200 the 60" MMM is a heaver steel gauge deck, you can also get closer to things since it sticks out a little more. I have no trimming to do when I cut my lawn, the 60 MMM does it all. Also you will get done a little sooner. I takes me 1.25 hours to cut 2 acres with a lot of trees and things to go around.

I was thinking that the 60 and 54 were made the same and it did not really change till you got down to the 48" deck (but I could be wrong)

The 60" has a self balancing linkage that is supposed to provide a better cut on rough terrain. It also sticks out further thus making it easier to trim close to objects without running them over with the tractor tires.

The big difference is that the 60 icnh deck makes trimming so much easier and it is more heavily built I believe. J

I'd imagine that the blade tip speed would be higher on the 60, than on the 54. The higher the blade tip speed, the better a mower will cut and discharge clippings. I had a 72" on my 3710. At 1000 rpm (mid), it sounded like a jet fighter. I only used it 2 times. It was such a PITA to mount and dismount, I just hung it in the barn and used a lawn tractor.
