i am wondering if there's anybody presently running either of these 2 model's ? and what they think of them ? i just got my order of saws,and am curious to know what you think. more pic's later :licking:

Lots of discussion on these saws over at Arboristsite. The general thoughts are that the 555 is a better deal and the 562 is a bit pricey. Seems all that have them are pretty happy though.

If you send me one of each model I will do a thorough review for you! LOL :licking:

Ive had my 562 for about 2 months now and just LOVE this thing, its a really quick saw, very smooth to run and PLENTY of power on tap! :thumbsup:

the first two saws are out of the box and in the field being used.
i took one of each.
562XP 24" .058 3/8 JGX OREGON SKIP SAW CHAIN 100LL aviation fuel mobil 2t synthetic mix oil. started right up,ran good-cut nice.re-started cold good.out the door it went for more in the woods break-in.
555 18" .058 3/8 LGX OREGON STANDARD SAW CHAIN 100LL aviation fuel HVA low smoke black bottle (formally x-p premium) mix oil.did not start up good,but once going-cut good.dies when letting off throttle.hard re-starting.

got it hooked up to HVA's downloadable engine tune system,which tell's the engine mechanic what's been going on with saw.i will also hook it up to 562XP that's been out in the field also,so i can see what's been going on with that one too. the learning process has begun on these new saws!

Seen 3 562 woods ported now and one woods ported was even tested with a 36" bar for fun. Pulled it buried with no problems.
