The wider the mower, the deeper it digs in when going across compound slopes.

This is why i went with the 54" deck. With the 62" I would really stick the edge of the mower into the dirt on my side slopes. I had a 48" on a CC before and that was better, but 54" is the smallest on the 2210 I could get.

I have a loaner x475 and it has exactly the same 54" deck that my 2210 has.

I have a 54" deck, and am very pleased with it. I recommend the attachment on the deck to help prevent excessive clippings, and definitely get the gator blades - really shreads the grass!
