Mahindra 5035 HST
Proud new owner of a 5035 HST! I have a question though as far as the bucket level indicater goes. What I have is a sticker on the top of the bucket that says level. Seems a rod of some sort would be a little more accurate. I have looked online briefly for one and no luck. Any thoughts? Thanks

Hope someone replies with some good ideas. Got up to 50 hrs on my 5035 pst yesterday. Several of these hrs are with grapel bucket so level not an issue. Still for me level is always a "best guess" with regular bucket and level sticker indicator.

Good point. I didn't know if there was a rod assembly available for the 5035 or not.

When I bought my 5035, I had the dealer install a leveling rod for the bucket prior to delivery. He took one off a New Holland tractor (which they also sell) and made it fit the Mahindra. Looks like a factory fit and doesn't look like they had to do much (if any) work to make it fit my Mahindra. Works as intended and is a far better solution than the "leveling sticker" that came stock on the unit. I would imagine your dealer could easily come up with a similar set-up.

I did a search on bucket level rod and found several nice ideas. For the one I will be making, It pretty much involves a 1/2" I.D. tube thats roughly 3' in length and 3/8" solid rod that is 4' in length that would ride in side of the tubing. Welding up the mounting plates and attaching to the outter portion of the cylinder pins. Then cutting a 2" notch out of the top of tubing facing the driver that allows you to see when the bucket is nearing level is pretty much all thats left to do. Good luck.
