I am considering trading my JD4700 w/460 loader for a 5325 with cab and 541 loader. One of my primary buying concerns is the feel and performance of the dual scv control lever. It is cable connected to the hydraulic valve. I am interested in operator's who have experience with this configuration. Is the cable system reliable and does it give good operator feedback for precise control of the loader?

I will be able to tell you in a week, pick up my 5425 then(ordered w/ dual mid SCV). My test drive was short, but what I remember it was very tight and fast/responsive with no load in the bucket. I was told one can adjust the valving to be a little slower. I tend to adjust mine so they aren't too fast, as I get a little harsh with the controls sometimes and you don't want things banging. I am by no means a journeyman operator, just an ol' farmer with a job to get done.

The 5325 is a good tractor.

I am not sure I understand your question, but I have a 541 loader on a JD 5420 that is controlled by a joystick. It works great for me, but it is the only loader I have ever used, so It might be less than perfect for someone with more loader experience. I have moved lots of gravel, snow, and hay, and pushed brush piles, and removed several large stumps with it and have never had any problems.
