I'm looking at the NX 4510 and the NX5010. Main uses will be loader, boxblade, and backhoe work. My property is hilly with 90 percent woods. The only time that I would use the PTO would be for tilling and occasional mowing at my brothers property.
I'm just debating if 5hp is worth the extra money.

How much more for the extra 5hp? Are you looking at HST or Geared? It is nice having the extra power when you need it and doesn't hurt having it when you don't.

Wider rear tires for increased stability on the hills, extra weight in( RimGuard ) or on( wheel weights ) the tires for stability & traction, extra tractor weight for more grunt/traction/pull, counter weight on the 3-point for loader use. You may never notice the extra 5 hp regardless of the price.

Consider all this and, also, which tractor "fits" you best.

I turned the fuel up on my LK2554 and gained maybe 5hp. I notice a difference.

When mowing thick grass up the small grade on my property, I would lose about 200 engine RPM. After turning up, I don't see any loss in RPM in the same conditions. Also, when running shredder in tall stuff, I would have to drop to low 2nd. Now I can stay in low 4th.

Just my experience. However, I do agree that you will not notice the difference unless you have both tractors doing the same task with the same implement.

Its $1600 more for the extra 5hp. I am looking at the HST do to the amount of loader/grapple work that I will be doing. I wonder what the torque difference is.

11.42 ft lbs at 2300 RPM.

So if you put 1000 hrs on the tractor it would cost you $1.60 per hour more. I would get the extra 5hp.

Torque ft lbs = HP x 5252/RPM so 5 x 5252 = 26260/2300 = 11.42 ft lbs rounded to hundreds place.
