4707

The new JD 5R series are sweet. They start at $85k and go to $115k. I love my Massy for $45k.

As for a camera system, I have about $180 in mine with 2 cameras and a Ram mounting system. Very happy with it.View attachment 585599View attachment 585600View attachment 585601View attachment 585602

I've wanted one of those front cameras for a long time. Can you take a pic of the screen view while you have your bucket on?
I'd like to see what you can see. Any vibration in the cameras?
I worried about installing a camera on the FEL arms vs the tractor body because when you bang the bucket to
clean out the dirt, just wondering how happy the camera will be about that

The camera is very steady. Its mounted on a very sturdy magnetic mount with rubber to protect paint. Since it's a magnet, you can move it around for whatever you need to see, plus the camera can be adjusted on the magnet too. I use it for hooking up buckets, grapple or forks. Picture is very clear. Be sure to get a high resolution CCD camera, not a CMOS. 20181201_162559.jpeg

@Bigpuddie-
Thanks for the link. I've got the same issue with my RX7320- can't see the attitude of the thing attached to my loader (bale spear, forks, bucket is a bit easier because it's wider). I'd like to put a camera out there. Is your camera attached to the loader arms or to the tractor? If loader, what happens when you remove the loader? Is there a connector in the cable allowing you to disconnect the camera?

Yes...I bought a few different lengths of cable and have a disconnect there. Works great

I wish there was a way to get the angle up high enough so one could see the leading edge of the bucket.
But that camera would sure make hooking up easier.

OK, I decided to go to my local MF dealer and inquire about the 4707. I checked it over (as much as I could in the rain) and just by looking at it, you'd couldn't tell it was made in China. In many cases, "Made in China" has a particular look, a crudish look. This tractor doesn't have that.

Interior:
The interior isn't anywhere near what I'd call lavish, in fact, it's closer to "spartan" than anything. There's a functional cup holder, a very shallow cup holder that doesn't look like it would hold anything securely, and a few other molded areas that look like they could hold something, but I'm not sure what. There's a glove box type of enclosure on the left side of the seat that's neat, but that's the extent of storage spaces. There's nothing for holding a cell phone anywhere. Overall, very limited. The seating arrangement is what appears to be focus on the interior. It's an air seat that swivels and adjusts in every direction. There are armrests too. The steering column is adjustable and is telescopic, too. Operator comfort seems to be what MF was shooting for with this interior.

Exterior:
The tires are excellent, there are four remotes, and has the 3pt hitch buttons on the fender. As previously mentioned, there is no DEF and no DPF. That's huge.

The price I got from the dealer for a new 4707 with wheel weights, loader, 78" heavy-duty bucket with reversible cutting edge, and buddy seat was $51,950.00 before tax (if applicable).

I'd like to think Massey Ferguson has a complete, firm grip on quality control with the 4700 Global Series and that these tractors don't have "Made in China" issues that will eventually surface. If this is truly "Massey Ferguson Quality" and not Chinese quality, then it's clear to me that this is the start of a new trend. I'm not sure I like that trend (because China), but if it's all that, how can you argue against it?

The fit and finish on my 4707 is top notch. Seat comfort, second to none...even with adjustable armrests. As for your quoted price, you can do better than that. Just for giggles ( I see you are in CT), call Bruno's in Cabot, Arkansas and get a phone quote and work off of that. I bought mine from MM Weaver in Leola, Pa. My price was $45,000 including a 936x self leveling loader, wheel weights, Visio roof, 3rd function remote, and front fenders. Now, the 2019 models will have a price increase due to tariff. If you are quoting a 2018, you should be able to do $45-48k

I believe there might be a cost issue based on what size rear tire the tractor is delivered with. 34's on the rear of mine are clearly oversized for 70hp tractor, believe I read someone else had theirs delivered with 30's instead. I think because they were putting this size tire on the other higher hp versions, all basically identical tractors except for engine hp and emissions control and likely cheaper to just stock one size tire.
If I get this thing stuck, I'm going to have to work awfully hard at it. My tractor had been sitting at another dealer for time unknown, perhaps latest deliveries have the 30 inch rear radials.
