4630 synchro adjustments.

We have a cab 4630 with the synchro trans on the fender (I guess you'd call it)

So when you come out of park the outside of the drum ill call it moves pretty freely. Then you slide the selector over to say 2/5 gear. Most every time we do that I have to stick a big screw driver in the outside drum and hold it in place to select gear 2 or 5.

Is there an adjustment in the cab for that or is it on/in the trans?

Any help or pointers would be appreciated!

My guess is shifter drums need to be shimmed tighter together &/or replace bushings(item 9). Check for excessive wear on latch(item 6). https://partscatalog.deere.com/jdrc/sidebyside/equipment/9060/referrer/navigation/pgId/541573

Ok thanks for that. Ill check it in the next few days as its about to get hooked back up to the rake.
