Ok, I guess my question is mainly directed to the dealers on this forum, but of course everyone please chime in with your experience. I picked up all of the filters needed for the initial 50 hr service from my dealer this morning.I always purchase factory filters mainly for the sake of the warranty because I dont want any bs down the road if I have a problem and didnt use factory parts. In my past experience, if anyone is going to get screwed on a warranty it WILL be me.The gentleman at the part's counter then asked why I wasnt purchasing all of the Mahindra oil needed.I told him I had already purchased aftermarket oil that met Mahindra's specs as written in the manual. He informed me that I had to use Mahindra oil to fulfill the warranty requirements. He said mahindra adds a certain chemical compound to their oil and if I had a warranty claim the oil analysis of course would show that their oil was not used..No where in the manual can I find a written statement regarding this....My initial response is to call Bull S*%# but ....I thought I would get a few more opinions..before I supposedly void/make claims harder on my warranty....Oh..and fyi the screw on single fuel filter was a Bosch,#1457434314 in case anyone else can save a buck or two through an aftermarket source on your next filter change.
Thanks and best regards...
