Has anyone used a 24" bucket on the 447? My area is mostly clay, with some rocky areas. Or would I be better off going to a 20' bucket for general digging? The tractor used will be a 3320. Thanks for any advice. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I am using an 18" HD bucket on my 448. I can take a full bucket of Pennsylvania red clay/soil without any problems. I think the capacities of the 448 and 447 are close. I personally like the 18" bucket. It is narrow enough that you don't have alot of backfill and it is wide enough that you can walk/work in the trench. I would also look into the JD HD series of buckets. They are not that much more $$ than the standard. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

24 is an awfully big bucket for the 447. Even 20 is bigger than I would want for general work. I have a 16 on my 48, which is a bit heavier duty than the 447 and like it just fine. The 12 inch bucket is standard on the 447 for a reason.

Thanks for the 2 reply's, I decided to order the 12" with the BH. Will try it out for a while and see if it has enough power for a 20" or 24" latter. I have a pond that needs to be cleaned out and thought the 24" might be right for.
