4310 fuel shut off solinoid

Hi On 7-7-12 the fuel shut off solinoid on my 4310 failed(lots of smoke) ordered new one from dealer $178.00 (thinking to myself hope I never have to buy another one) put solinoid in, started up, no smoke drove from shop to garage did not use until saturday 7-28. 5min. after start up that $178.00 part failed(lots of smoke again). I did a fair amount of reading this weekend, seems to me I am not the only one with this problem. What I am looking for is a wireing digram for the fuses and relays. I will not put another solinoid in unless I know every thing else is good. Thanks to anybody that can help. Bye.

You have a problem with the timer not shutting off what is only supposed to be a few seconds high current power to the pull-in coil. I have attached the portion of the 4310 schematic showing that. Also the theory of operation page for the timer.

Thank you JD755. The diagram and theory on how it worked made it somewhat easy to find the problem.The relay tested fine but the timer module was bad.I put in a new timer module and a new fuel shut off solinoid. Tracter starts and runs (no smoke) it all works good now.
