42 in. Mower for Gravely

40 in. Gravely mower are hard to find here. I found a 42 in. deck in a srap yard. I had at home a damaged (brooken cylinder) 30 in. Gravely reel mower. I take the Gravely reel mower (very good) gear box (Rotation output is reversible) With 8 in. drive pulley. Make a frame for fix all together. Everything run very good. Thanks ! Oldmech

i guess your deck cutting height is 2.5" or.... 2.5"

Hi! The pics are for help to build or adapt a 42 in. deck at the Gravely reel mower Gear box.
You are right for height grass cutting. My ground is very uneven.But my mower is ajustable from one inches to 3 in.
At first try with a 10 in. drive pulley the deck was floating on air Too fast Now with a 8 in a little bit too slow. with Gravely we have two PTO speed 1000 rpm and 1500 rpm
I use the faster. Gravely are very good small two wheels tractors Thanks! Oldmech
