Funny, I went the opposite way. Got tired of leaks, added tubes, which just added to the problem when it did start leaking. With tubes I had to break the tire down and patch the tube instead of just plugging the tubeless tire without dismounting the tire. Once I added the slime, no more problems. Guess to each his own...
The tires on the front of my JD are getting kind of old, and the sidewalls have started ooozing little bits of air thru the cracks in the sidewallls. Since the tires have a lot of miles left in them, I hated to replace them. Once I added slime, no more problems. Tubes would have worked but they are kind of hard to find for 16" wide tires on 15" rims.
