I completely understand. :) Looking great by the way. You値l love the lift and don稚 be surprised once you get the shop set up and using it, that a second lift idea comes to mind, specially if you have long term projects that tie a lift up and do a lot of work and maintenance on other vehicles. ;)

OK, that's enough

I don't have 1 lift and you are suggesting we'd need 2!

I like the way you think though.

Just a few little things done the last couple of weeks. Waiting on the floor heat, and the bathroom to get done now. Going to have to hurry up though, the lean to that some of my stuff is stored in has finally had enough. It’s going to be real interesting to get the Jeep out of there now! Roof has fallen in and sitting on the Jeep now!

Started working on the manifold for the floor heat today.
Ordered a stereo system for the shop today. Nothing special, just a Pioneer amplifier with four small indoor/outdoor speakers. Going to put the speakers in each corner of the shop. All of it should be here Fri, so hopefully will have it going by the end of the weekend. Won’t be loud, but it’ll provide some tunes. Also, ordered a hose reel today too. Hope to get the compressor moved to the shop this weekend. I know it had some water in it when I moved it into the lean to a few years ago, so it’ll need thawed out and drained before I put it up above the bathroom. With any luck I should have air in the shop by next weekend. I’m hoping if I start moving stuff in my builder may get the hint that I’m tired of waiting!

You probably want to put it on sound isolators otherwise the platform could end up being a sounding board making the noise level even higher.

Awesome!!! Hoping your floor is warm enough to allow him to charge the system.

The shop I'm in now had speaker in each corner for a couple weeks. Then removed two. To have a conversation had to turn down the volume. Then had to turn it back up to hear music. With two I rarely change the volume.

Haven't installed anything in the new shop yet. So I'll use you as the tester to see how you get along. :)

Yep. I used thick rubber pads.

Getting closer! Still waiting on floor heat, and water to be hooked up, and that should pretty much do it I think. Except for all the outside dirt work, and tearing down the two buildings that are still here.

Hooked up tunes last night!

One of these in each corner of the shop. Works, not super loud but provides music.

Looking good! Tell me a bit about that SS service sink, if you could. Brand/model/where you got it. That is the type i could use in my shop and I haven't seen it before.

Thanks,
Dave

My builder bought it so I’m not for sure. He buys a bunch of stuff from Home Depot so maybe there?

Thanks. Not Home Depot. Looks like it is a restaurant supply company that makes them. I could find it online easily enough.

Almost didn’t fit!

Today’s activities are not without incident though! Loader 1/building 0! Hopefully the builder can fix me up. IMG_1890.JPG
That’s how close the other building that we are going to tear down is. I was watching the rear blade, and should have been watching the loader when I was pulling in. Lesson learned. Could have been worse, but certainly could have been avoided as well. I’m just sick about it.

I bought a 3/4” stall mat to help absorb some of the noise from the compressor. What’s everyone’s opinions on screwing the compressor down? If I screw into the bathroom ceiling does that negate any sound proof that the mat provides. The compressor doesn’t vibrate to bad so I’m not worried about it moving. Thoughts?

You're supposed to run into the old building while watching out for the new building!!!! :(

I see no reason to bolt the compressor down.

You lucked out on the height!!!!

If I were doing it, I would add bolts but not tighten them down. Might not make any sense, but I would like to know it's not "walking".
