The "problem" with R4's (Industrials) are while the have big lugs, they also have a lot of flat surface, they also are a very stiff rubber compound so they don't flex and shed the mud between the lugs very well

Much smaller tractor, but ... Mud is mud, so is STUCK!

Tried using the BH to pull me backwards ...

Chains do help, I only had front chains at this point, now have for back too.

I run R1's on my "Big Lawnmower" ... On a really sharp turn, they will dig up the grass ... Fronts are very worn too!

I just left the dealership and the tractor on my right has r4's while the 4066 on my left the Nokia R14's. The 14 had much tighter tread pattern and filled with rubber like turf's, than the R4's do. Have you used them both? Seen them side by side? The r4's and not a ag tread but far closer than the Nokia's snows are.

R4's are possibly the worst tires you can run in mud; I've got no experience with turfs on a tractor, but I've read that they're better than R4's in mud.

I would argue the only benefit of R4's is their thickness.

Look at the ply rating when thinking of a tire to replace the R4's. For all around work, including woods work but excluding field Ag work, the R4's fit best. No one single tire tread will do it all. just sayin...

And nothing will work in that deep mud, sans staying out of it completely.

R4s are racing slicks in wet snow.

Haven't read all this thread, but why doesn't the dealer offer to swap out the tires instead of trying to sell new ones and not getting a full warranty on a demo with only 20 hours ...there'd better be a hefty discount off the price.

Dealers can't operate in the negative. Only the Gov't can do that.

The dealership said he can do a better price on this demo with 20 hours and r4 tires and its one year older. It was setup with a less fancy options but still has most things we want. Yes I know what these tires can and cannot do. They want to move all there demo's and willing to deal. Still will get new BH, deere grapple and over the summer a used backblade and three point rough mower as earlier stated. Still plenty of snow on the ground here but this tractor will not be used for working in snow.

Be sure the backhoe is mounted with the proper top link. I think it's called a rigid top link. This will prevent the operator being pushed into the cab. People have been killed by a backhoe not being mounted properly
Imagine pushing the 'boom down' lever and the seat get pushed into the cab, and the lever can't be released because you are caught between the lever and the cab.

The tractors we've been looking at will be setup with the power-beyond etc etc by the dealership. We've been using them for some years and do trust them.

I haven't see that before. I wonder how important it is if you have telescoping draw bars? With them you just need to get within a few inches and the you can make any final adjustments with each drawbar end. They also help when you aren't exactly square to the implement and one drawbar needs to be slightly longer or shorter. Then when you finally lift the implement they retract and lock into place. If you have rigid draw bars then I think the hitch assist would be really useful. I also find having fender controls for the hitch height and a hydraulic top link is super useful of you can't easily reach those controls when standing at the back of the tractor.

Used to think such ability to move the tractor from behind and not having to climb back in the seat would be awesome feature to have. But after several years of having the iMatch quickhitch and the hydraulic top arm, haven't ever recalled wishing for that off-seat feature.

Am sure remembering all the individual safety steps built into this feature to save any idiots from getting hurt would render it nearly unusable, but its there if anyone wants to have it.
