I have been told that with the hydro if you are on a slope moving up or down and you let off the forward or reverse pedal then the unit will stop and not roll back of forth. Is that true with the PowrReverser? For example: will it roll down if you put it in neutral?

Is the question regards the HST or the PowrReverser?

With HST (at least my 4300), putting in neutral then it will roll. No info regards the PR

Really both: If you have the HST and you are going up a hill then just let off of the peddle will it stop on the hill or will it start rolling back. And from what I have seen the PowrReverser has a forward, neutral, reverse on the steering column that you can use while in gear. If you switch the unit into neutral on the column but leave in gear will it roll back wards or come to a stop. Both examples are with leaving the tractor in gear.

A hydro will hold on a hill. It may creep slowly, but it won't run away like it would if you put the range selector in neutral. I would still set the parking brake if getting off the tractor.

Always I'll set the park brake if on any slope at all... too easy to bump the shift lever into neutral and be free wheeling.
Plus the HST loses its "grip" and can coast.

Same with my HST yard tractors.. 455, 425, and X485
