I have a Kubota B1750 that won't shift into 4 WD any ideas? BKSBILL

If the lever wont move then it could simply be that the ball spring retainer that holds the lever in either 2 or 4 WD is gummed up. Its external to the transmission so its a relatively easy fix. It might help to get a free parts diagram from Kubotabooks.com

Sometimes it takes more zen or using the Force, instead of just force.:D

Try a few things. Perhaps you already have, but didn't say.

Rock the HST pedal a tiny wee tap forward and reverse, it sometimes finds a sweet spot where the FWD just drops right in.

Push the clutch, if it has one.

Rock the steering wheel back and forth sometimes also works.

Pretty much what BPFick says; sometimes one works and sometimes the other; nothing unusual.

Try putting the bucket on the ground if ya have not already,sometimes the loaded front end will bind it up and make it difficult, years ago we had to back up our CJ-5s to get them out of 4wheel do to the differntial binding on the front end. You may try that, but I don't recall ever having too to engage 4 wheel.
