Quick Hitches 3pt Quick Hitch/ Deere Imatch

Hi All, First post hope this is the right forum for this, anyway I just got a 4110 and now I'm starting to get some impliments, what are your thoughts on the quick hitch's like deere's Imatch, do they work well, and are they compatible with all 3pt impliments, and are they worth it?

The 4110 is a great machine...but I guess I am a bit biased

As to you questions:

I love it, couldn't pry it from my cold, dead hands.

do they work well

They work great, don't need to modify it like some of the Horrible Fright versions!

and are they compatible with all 3pt impliments

Definitely not...But if you are starting from nothing you can make sure anything you buy is compatible. The is a ASAE standard that a lot of small implement manufacturer do not follow...


If you want to spend the next 2 hours readig about them and the controversy, do a search on the terms "imatch" and "i-match"

The secret about the HF units is to buy the right size, I know there are 2 but maybe even 3 different ones. They are not as pretty as JD but a whole lot cheaper. Any implement I buy I make sure it will fit or can be easily modified to fit, just too old to wrestle heavy stuff around.

If you want to be happy with the end results. Just go buy the JD QHs and consider yourself a wise man. Then refab all your attachments to fit the JD QHs. You will never be sorry you did. When I bought my tractor, the dealer tried to get me to buy the JD QH. I said [ "I don't need that thing" ] Since then I went back to dealer and bought 2 of them. One of the best product buys I ever made. That's My story - Its whatever makes the tractor owner happy.

how would one of these hold up to heavy implements? one fo my imp. is close to 1100 lbs, and is already over the "recommended" lift capacity for my tractor. would one of these push the imp. back alot further risking lift capacity? not too mention the weight of the unit itself.....

any thoughts?

The I-Match, like most all other QH's move the implement back 3-4". It would handle the weight with no trouble at all...but moving your 1100lb implement further back may very well complicate things for you. What do you have that weights that much?

Completely agree with Kenny. The iMatch itself has no problem with 1100 lbs. I run an 1100 lb, 7' Roadboss grader behind my 5303 and the iMatch seems perfectly solid in this application.

Moving that much weight 4" further behind your hitch might make your tractor a little fussy. Is the "recommended" hitch capacity for a 4110 from actual hitch capacity, or from tractor stability?

Does anyone know the spacing where the bottom pins set into on the Imatch hitch? getting ready to buy one but I just want to know if atleast the bottom pins will set in the imatch, i'm pretty sure i'll have to change somthing with the toplink height. I already have a united/leinbach boxblade,and a landpride landscape rake, and hopefully soon a tiller, so it looks like a imatch will be nice to have now.

First off welcome to TBN.

Quick hitches are great for newer major brand implements with hitch dimensions made to hook up to them. Some of the cheaper brand 3pt equipment won't fit without minor, or sometimes major modification. My granddad's 60 year old implements were made to fit his 60 year tractors so will not hitch up to my Imatch.

I really like my Imatch, but It has to come off to hitch up to a couple of my implements, so they tend not to get used as much as would like to. I think a quick hitch with an adjustable top link bracket like the one sold by Tractor Supply might make it easier to mate to more non-standard equipment.
