I have a New Holland 1925 compact tractor with a loader (34hp, 1998), and am wanting to know if the hydraulics would do a reasonable job with a logsplitter (4" x 24" cylinder). I am not sure, but I think the hydraulic GPM flow rate is only about 6.

I'd be very surprised to see a 34 HP tractor with only 6 gpm. Would expect you to be closer to at least 10GPM, but I can see tractor data has it at 6.1, not sure if that is accurate.

Speed for a Hydraulic Cylinder - Calculates Extended Speed, Retracted Speed, Extend Time, Retract Time, Cycle Time

Based on the above referenced calculator, looks like 15 seconds cycle time, seems reasonable to me.

Interested to see if others think this is correct.

I estimated rod diameter to be 3.5 inches.
