373 three point leaks down

When I raise the three point hitch it slowys sags down with the engine running. this is only when it has heavy impliment on it. I figure this must be the valve or seals?

Most likely the o-rings on the hyfralic piston in the hydrolic control assembly needs to be replaced. While you have the assembly off check the lift yoke for weare where the rod from the piston is attached. Too much where can cause the rod to fall into the trans housing. I am now very fast at remiving and instaling the hydrolic control assembly on my 373.

do you mean the control valve or the cylinder that does the work?

Take the assembly under the seat off . this will include the lift arms and the lift leaver. The cylinder head is held on with 4 bolts and will need some work to pull it out. go to www.satohparts.com and look at the diagrams of the hudrolic control unit. It is very unlikely that the valve is the problem the pistion o rings are almost always the culprit. If the cylinder is damaged you need to take it to a hudrolic shop to see it it can be repaired.
