354 Jinma three point filter comparison

Received my parts order and thought a comparison between what was in my 354 and what I received would be instructive. As you can see from the photo the new one is much finer. The old filter looks like maybe 1/10” spacing. The new one is at least 3x finer. Outer dimension are similar. Maybe someone replaced the original filter with what was in my 354.

Hopefully, this will resolve the sticky distributor issues I had been having.

Threw in a super magnet at the bottom of the case to take up any metal particles that might still be in the system.

Good info, thanks for the pics.
It looks like the newer screen has an appropriate increase in surface area to compensate for the finer mesh. You will probably notice a need to go to a thinner fluid in really cold temps.
