3320 rockshaft doesn't rock

I made a couple adjustments as sugested here on this site and the backhoe goes on and off like it should. Thanks everyone for the help.

Yes, I made adjustments as well, and it seems to work as it should. I took the advice from the gentleman from SC and placed bushings on the rockshaft arm pins. As he accurately pointed out, this gives you an extra 1/8" of lift. I also adjusted the rockshaft arm feedback rod as he also suggested. This allowed the rockshaft arms to lift sufficiently to slip in the L-pins. I suspect that the dealer never used the RSA assist to install the hoe initially. They took the shortcut route and used the stabilizers. I asked them, and they said they "couldn't recall". Using the hoe hydraulics works of course, but it is a pain. The stabilizers act independently and it is painstaking to get them to lift equally from left to right, causing the L-pins to bind. The rockshaft arms lift equally, eliminating the left to right binding problem.

My 4520 also had the same problems attaching and removing the backhoe. It has been at the shop for the last week and that was a must fix on the list. Well, the dealer found the the backhoe mounting brackets (on the tractor) had been mounted wrong. Amazing, the backhoe now attaches and comes off just like the video...no extra parts either....and it really is simple compared to what I went thru for the last year. The rock-shaft arms lift it into place and the pins just slide right in. When removing the backhoe you just lift the rock-shaft arms...slide the pins out and lower it to the ground. So if you are having troubles....make your dealer fix it, for it really does on and off as easy as shown on the JD video!!!
