322d groundsmaster with hanson general snowblower.

Hoping someone might know what i need here.

This is a shaft driven snowblower on a 322d groundsmaster. I just got it have not used it yet. i noticed the blower spins freely and opened up the gear box. Looks like the 2 disc were connected with a shear pin that broke loose. One has a 1/4 hole and the other a slot...although it looks like the slot was cut into it or broken away.

Does anyone know a shear i should put in here...may i can use a #2 bolt?

The manual or parts diagram should show that.

I have used that style of snowblower on nice flat sidewalks and let me tell you they suck. You can either blow or steer. When the blower is up the steer wheels loose weight. When the blower is down you loose traction. Yes it had a rear weight and wheel weights.
