30xx cab question

3046r w/cab.
There are black metal plates at the bottom [front] with two holes in them, right below the door.
[on both sides of the tractor]
I don't see a reason for the holes to be there.
Anyone with a cab & MMM ? [thinking something to do with that]

Probably for some attachment or option I would guess.

You might be looking at the high end (sarcastic) plastic tool box holder. A rubber band with hooks on the end hold the tool box on the little shelf directly in front of and slightly below the cab. Anybody with one will know that it fills with water and in the winter time, your tools will be solid inside a big ice cube. Makes it a little difficult to use any tools, I have found.

I thought about the toolbox - but anything mounted there would block either the step or the door opening.

I was also annoyed that there isn't ample room in the cab for a box, not to mention a 12" wrench...
I plan on solving that issue with a top link [I'll call Brian today]
