I'm planning on purchasing a tractor very soon (as in I need it yesterday). For my location, based on the dealerships close by, John Deere seems to be my best option, and out of the lineup it appears the 3032e will be the best fit based on value and needs.

My only issue is that we have some alleys between the paddocks that will be too tight to travel in while having both the loader and a brush cutter hanging off - so I will need to remove the loader on occasion.

Thankfully I have been doing my homework here on TractorByNet, so when I went in to speak with the dealer I knew about the parking stand kit for the 305 loader (part# BW15872). I was quoted a price of $348 for the kit.

I am wondering if anyone here has one, or knows how easy/difficult it might be to attach/detach the loader once the parking stand kit is installed.

I have done a search here, and I have seen some posters mention the kit, but I have not read any reports by anyone on how the kit works and how well it works.

Any info that anyone could provide would be great, as I am looking to purchase this soon, and my only reservation is how the parking stand kit might work out for me.

Thanks.

Why don't you demo one at the dealership? Surely they have one on the lot for you to try before you spend your money.

From what they have told me, they have never had anyone request the parking stand kit (and it is a large dealership which moves a lot of units), and as a result I would not be able to find a 3032e to look at, that has the parking stand kit on it which would allow the loader to be disconnected.

Why not go with like a 3320 with a easier loader to remove. Depending on how often you have to remove tje loader it doesnt look like the funnest job. Or run with the loader raised in your paddocks

I leave the bucket off my 3038E most of the time. I don't think removing the entire loader wouldn't give me all that much more clearance.

Agree w/ RFW probably wont get you any narrower. The park stand kit you mentioned is jut that a park stand kit (along w/ required hyd couplers, etc). Removeing the loader is still not as easy as the 20's. You will remove the pins from the mast (or remove mast completly) allowing the loader to be parked so is not the most convienent method.

I think you'd be best suited spending a little extra money and getting a 3320 with the 300CX loader for easy on/off. If you want to take the loader on/off frequently, you wouldn't want to on the 3032E. Another option, as mentioned is simply removing the bucket. When I would bale with my 5410, I would just take the bucket off. I've never had the entire FEL frame off on any of my tractors.

Thanks everyone. I think just taking the bucket off will be my best option (I just never thought about it!). I would love to go with the 3320 - but I'm trying to stay below that pricing tier.

As far as removing the bucket, I have read conflicting reports here concerning the 305 loader. At first I read that all 305s have the JD quick attach buckets - but then I read that was not true.

Is the 305 bucket quick attach as a standard feature? I couldn't find anything stating that it was or wasn't in the John Deere literature that I came across.

If the quick attach bucket is not standard - what should I be expected to pay the dealer for that option?

Thanks again!

buy a new holland and all the laoders and buckets come standard quick attach and have built in legs and all to take your loader off any time and any where. no extra money

all 300 series loaders will be qa buckets. 200 series loaders came later with a pin on bucket option and the current h loaders for 2000's have a pin on option as well.

Attached are the removal instructions from the 305 loader manual.
It is on page 30-6. On the E models, only the bucket is removable, as mentioned earlier. Don't think you need to purchase the kit, just a couple short pieces of 6x6 or 8x8 will be enough for the bucket to sit on. Have not yet removed my bucket, but that should be just fine.

Thanks FF for posting those instructions.

It takes about 5 minutes to either take the bucket off or put it back on. Most of the 5 minutes is spent climbing on and off the tractor.

It's a good idea to leave the bucket off when not using it. My battery in the 3038E failed after one year. The tractor was in the garage and I couldn't easily get close enough to jump start it. I couldn't get the new battery bolted in with the bucket on. Lesson learned.
