Anyone else ever rubbed their lower link on the back tire and caused some damage to the tire. I was bush hogging and over tightened the right lower link and I guess that caused it to go over to the left too far. Heard a noise but didn't realize it was the lower link digging into the tire for about 40 yards.

don't sweat it.

the first day i owned my yanmar 1700 I let the lower lift arm get into those rice tires and it bent the adjustable lift link into a pretzle.

stuff happens.

wait till you have a tractor with a parking brake and back out of the barn and start to mown and notice the brake on.

it's one of those head slapping moments.

next you will invariably. at least once. run slap out of fuel and have to walk and get fuel.. then fight to restart it. :)

Or crushed the hood while looking for hydraulic leaks- using the loader controls with the hood up :ashamed:

Or lifting a bucket of logs to high with the bucket at full curl and denting your hood as a few logs roll out.

Decided to unfasten the grader blade from its frame and move it off center so the blade would reach into the ditch and the tractor could stay on the flat part of the road. Too much for the three point to handle and it swung into the tire. Carved out the rubber pretty good.

Oh yeah, rubbed 3PH on tires, gouged garage wall with bucket, dented the hood with rocks from bucket, ripped house trim off with blower, and stuck it in the mud. Think I got it all out of my system now.

How about starting up the tractor, releasing the parking brake, putting it in gear and launching forward... before lifting the FEL? :duh: Leaves a nice ribbon of turf in the bucket. :muttering:

I use my box blade as my parking brake. Its often dragging if i'm not hearing the HST hydraulics whine because I left the real parking break on.

How about using your freshly painted loader on your freshly painted Kubota to lift your brand new 5' cutter & swing it into the painted & straightened hood???

Guys in the demo business have got it made. They get to tear crap up and get a pat on the back for it.

Oh Lord, that's funny, but, not to be outdone....listen to this one Jeff...
When I built our home, I installed an 8 foot tall door (8 by 16) because I knew I needed that to clear the ROPs on the B7800, but when I bought the electric door opened, of course it was designed for a 7 foot door, so that went on my to-do list... So, over the next 4 years, I drove the tractor ROP into the partially open door 3 bloody times, knocking off the lower door section.

Thanks for the replies. I bought my tractor used but it basically looked new. Since I have been using it, it looks more used now. I also hit the garage door like many have mentioned which didn't damage the tractor but did knock one of the wheels out of the track. I was able to hammer it back in. The only other thing is I somehow broke part of the amber rear light and now it is ducktaped on. Guess the tractors can't stay perfect forever.

Always mind the Backhoe too when coming or going out the Garage.
