Can someone please tell me the height from the ground to the implement end of the lift arm for a cat 1 3 pt. mine seems awful high at 15 inches. Tough to connect to.

Thanks

Joe

Not sure of your question. If you are talking about the height with lift all the way down that is to high. You should have more than one set of holes in your side link where you can lower it. Yanmar Tractor Parts: Fixed side link

Yes , I'm talking about the height with the lift all the way down. I know its to high that why I asked the question. What is the standard height. The lift arms are set in the lowest posssible hole. I can adjust the upper arm on the tractor as it is splined and looks to have been monkeyed with. But what is the standard height.

Thanks

Joe

There should be timing marks on the shaft, crank and lift arms.

I don't know that there is a "standard" height. Depends on tire size, tractor size, and a few other variables.

A pic of what you have would be helpful, tractor, tires, etc..

My Ym240 manual does not show the marks, just says they are there. I doubt anyone will be willing to unhook an implement to measure, so I suggest either dis/re-assemble according to the marks, or measure height of all of your implement pins and set arms so all will hook up.

The 220 manual shows the marks right out on the end of splined shaft and on the outside of the lift arm. Should be easy to see per book picture. For what it's worth, on my 2002d with the pin in the middle hole on the side link, the lower lift arm is appx 10" off ground at center of pin hole.

10 inches using the middle hole on the side link sounds about right for my YM240 too.

The YM186D with 16" rear tires is lower, maybe 4-5 inches from the ball to the ground, again with its side link set at the middle hole.

someone mentioned tire size......I'm wondering if this tractor started out with smaller tires with the lift arms adjust to them and had larger tires installed somewhere down the line? causing the arms to be this high? just thinking out loud!.......................
some folks prefer turf over AG tires, and turf are usually shorter aren't they?

Thank you, a lot of good info here. The index marks are certainly something I'll look for didn't know about this.

The tire size is as stated in the manual but I will check the inflation, every little bit will help.

The 10 inch number is about what the lowest of my implemments is so that what I was looking for but I wanted a sanity check.

I did have very short lifts arms (24" most likely off a smaller machine) but I just bought new ones from Hoye for my 336D so that should not be the issue. In fact all of the 3 pt except the original lift arms was bought from hoye. The tractor came with a BH 750 and a box of 3PT parts most of which were stamped Ford and didn't fit.

Thanks Again

Joe
