.....thought I was missing a piece from the handle.......but now the hitch is in the up position and I can get it to come down ???.....I could move it up and it would go back down while moving a handle that is attached to the chassis......any ideas

Look for a round knob under or beside the seat. Turn it counter clockwise one turn. It should turn fairly easy by hand. ... Fixed?

Have you put down pressure on it? Will it go down after sitting a while?

Linkage were? Inside the lift housing or external? So it has not moved since it got locked up in position?

I had the same problem.....I just wasn't opening the valve far enough. When I did, it went down just fine.

.....................There is a handle that sticks out of the fender....that connects to something ..not sure what.........there is a lever...external...that I can move ...if I pull it ..the hitch goes up...and if I let it go...it will go down....

I guess is there are 2 things that effect the up and down of the hitch...

you should have a round black knob on the riser that the seat is fastened to. Reach down between your legs towards the floor and there it is. That's what needs opening.
