Is there a way to lessen the resistance to moving the three point hitch lift selector lever on a Cub Cadet 7300 tractor? It is a 4 wheel drive with the gear transmission. Has been kind of stiff since it was new, just seems to be getting harder instead of "wearing in" and getting easier.

Oil it.

I have a Cub Cadet 7205 and the lift lever for the 3 point hitch was getting harder and harder to move. Actually had to use two hands to move it. Also the lift arms were not going all the way up or down. Tried lubing all the linkage, checking fluids, etc. Finally tried shooting some (a lot!) WD40 onto/into the shaft that comes out of the transmission case and that the linkage attaches to and, after the lube worked its way in, the lever moved very easily and the 3 point arms would go full up/down. I actually thought something broke because the lever moved so easily! I don't know the name of the shaft so am attaching a photo. The WD40 goes where the arrow points, not right up next to the case.
