Buying Advice 2810 buying advise

Hey Guys, I looked at a 2003 mahindra 2810 today w/ approx 600 hrs. it has a loader & a set of pallet forks. The dealer claims it's a one owner tractor that he has traded for. He has all of the orginal paperwork & manuals. The paint is faded badley, otherwise it seems to be in okay shape. To be sold as is. He wants $ 7500 for it.

Is this a good price on a decent tractor, it will be used for a little bit of everything on a small farm. I have read the loaders may be weak on these models, any feedback would be helpful.

our 2810 gear has about 500hrs on it now, got it with about 250.

the only problems we have had are oil seals leaking and the pto stopped working. But they were all easy fixes imo. front and rear axle, and pto seals. I actually posted how-to guides on doing the PTO and rear axle seals.

The engine is still leak free and doesn't use a drop of oil.

Also the shifter lever (for the sycroed 1,2,3,4 gears) has a weak point and has broke twice now. Gonna see what I can do to beef it up. This could also be that this tractor sees alot of different operators. Never had the shift lever break on me.

our loader still has the original 1.75" cylinders, but if anything goes wrong we will probably upgrade to 2" for a little more capacity as have many owners have.

I also just checked the bypass on the loader valve, and it was set at 1800psi. Spec is 2000psi. Can definitely notice a little more power now on the FEL.

Otherwise it has been a great tractor.
