Check the linkage from the lever to where it goes into the side of the transmission. If all of that seems to be working correctly, then lift the front wheels of the ground hold one wheel and turn the other wheel, while doing this check to see if the drive shaft is turning and make sure one of the driveshaft connector sleeves are not stripped out. Also if your 4WD is engaged you shouldn't be able to turn one front wheel while holding the other. If you find no breakdown at any of these points the problem is probably in the transmission case. Can you tell me what hydro fluid to put in and where? I have a clear window above and to the right of the pto shaft. Its showing low, I want to add some to it. There is a spot right above the pto, I just want to make sure that's the right spot.
You are correct about where to fill the transmission. Put the 4WD in gear and see if you can still spin it. Maybe you will hear where the weak point is.
