As I also own a 2615 and am also 6'+ (6' 1", actually), you've piqued my interest with your stated modifications. If possible, could you explain in a little more detail how you modified the shifter and gas tank?
Thanks,
BR
Am I reading this correctly that there is a combo Deere+Mahindra dealer in New Hampshire or Maine?rumproast said:Could not work out deal with Mahindra dealer..got the "I have to speak to my manager" line though. He offered me JD3203 again at similar prices and an extended 5 year warrenty free. nah.
You ain't cured.rumproast said:Oh well, I may have found the cure for my tractoritis after all. May have a relapse come spring though.

Well, son of a gun!civesnedfield said:Dougster Hammond Tractor in Fairfield and Union, Maine is a John Deere/Mahindra/Kabota Dealer![]()
Dougster said:Well, son of a gun!I will definitely stop by one or both of their locations on my next trip up to the Arctic Circle!
This has got to be seen in person. They must have the most confused and conflicted sales force in the entire tractor world.

Well, I assume they make the biggest bucks on the JD's and Kubota's! So naturally, they would keep them looking the best!civesnedfield said:Not really they tend to point you towards a piece of equipment that will make them the most money. They were at the Windsor fair last weekend. Their booth was directly across from th pulling ring. Losts of dust and all that. I found it amazing that their JD and Kubotas on display looked kinda clean and the Mahindras in the front row did not look like they had been cleand since they hit the fairgrounds.![]()
Yep!rumproast said:Got all that...see what you learn at the Maine fairs. Fryburg next.
rumproast said:The Union Ham tractor only have about 6 Mahindra units the rest are JD. The Fairfield HAm has only about 5 dusty Mahindra units 32HP and below (they do have quite a few Mahindras in the upper HP range). In the 20 - 38 HP range they have a boat load of Kubotas and JD...guess which ones the "sell" the hardest. Ham in the Lewiston/auburn (LA) is independent of the Union/Fairfield bunch now however, it is rumored Union/Fairfield has bought LA out and take over next January. LA Ham sell Mahindra and Long (don't know about the Long still)... LA sell lots of Mahindra units/year. Got all that...see what you learn at the Maine fairs. Fryburg next.
