IBC stands for Intermediate Bulk Container

Seems many here use the IBC's. Most of the ones I've seen advertised are white.
How long do they last in the hot sunlight (Mississippi)?

Do they get brittle at 40 below (Vermont)?

I'd like to get them for rain barrels and the like, but don't want something that will break up in two years.

Thanks for any advice.

Newbury I have a source of clean ones and I have some setting out for the last 8 years and are still tough. The some of the ones I get have galvanized liner around them as a additional protection from sunlight and punctures. What part of MS are you wanting them in and I can hook you up with some. I have about 30 onsite here. I m set with a plant that gets soap in them that give them away. I properly clean them and make sure the frames arent damaged. You told me one time your BIL lives in Tish, I would be glade to drop you off a few.

Thanks greatly, both for giving me a ball park of how long they last and your offer.
We need to talk, but I'm going to be at 2115 Walker Levee Rd, Fulton. About 30 miles SW of Iuka. Right now I'm sitting in Alexandria, VA. I plan on being back down about the end of Feb.

In the light they only seem to get 5 years here. If inside or tarped, much longer.

Newbury The ones I get have metal sheild around the sides for light and punture protection. I just cover the top. I have some that are clear that dont have the liners I think aobut 8 years on them . Im about to build an aquaponics set up with a few. These have a 2 inch valve that can take a 2 inch camlock QC. I had one set up on the back of my Dodge with a reciver mounted water bar for dust control and waterin the flowers at the landfill.

I also can set you up with some large funnels for the rain water catchment.

I gotta ask have you seen the gator at Walker Levee yet?

Haven't seen the gator at Walker Levee. My relative (wife's cousin, is that a CIL?) Dr. Johnson, has a house on the water off Dorsey Moore drive and was telling us about it.

Think about it, gators almost in Tennessee!
