Been looking at tractors and have a question on the 3 point design of the 2520. The lower link arms are attached outside of the axle housing to small gear reduction box. Gear reduction is a good thing. But how is that aluminum whimpy housing gonna hold up to the beating a brush hog and box blade will give it? Any one have 200-300 hours of hard field use? Only model I've seen designed like this. I'm leary.

How Dare you Speak about the sacred 2520 like this..
The last guy that talked about a 2520 like this. when he got home from
work , there was only Pipe sticking out of the ground where his house
use to be..... LOLOL

I am just kidding....:D

Well Slick , i can't answer that question. cause i sure dont have 200 hours
on mine. but i done alot of extream things with it. digging rock with the hoe. dragging big trees.. and big heavy lifting and digging. and he just keeps on going ...;) Its just a beast. thats all you can say. everyone here that has one will tell you. it will far exceed anything you can imagine it doing.
everyone that has one loves it. and i am probebly the leader of the
fan club....:D

Regarding fan club, I agree, I've been reading your posts. I drove the machine and like it. Dealer is ok. I'm not talking about power or loader ability. It is the 3 point design. Looks odd to me. It has ok lift rating. Comments?

Well the lift ratings. are alot more than ok. Dont read them D*** specs. it far exceeds that. there is some here with a bush hog or cutter and can answer your question. but i doubt it. 1 i dont think anyone here has 300 hours on there 2520 and 2 , *I never heard of anything to do with the 3 point ever giveing problems. except for those stupid rings in the sway adjusters that come loose . and we have fixed that with zip ties and bungi straps. you got to play in the dirt with it. then you will see. ;)

Hasnt been a problem since yanmar/Deere made the 4100 series in 1998 - that includes all of the 2210, 4010,4100,4110,4115,2305,2320,2520 -thats a heck of a lot of models to choose from with many thousands of hours on them (pre 2000 series of today) - I havent heard of any of them falling apart because of aluminum housings - search the web yourself -:)
That should make you sleep better at night now -:D
