2440 Coolant heater

Finding RE313366 and AT72330. So what's the difference between them??

Re313366 is the element only for replacement. At72330 is the complete kit for first time install.

Yep, that's it. Yes you should be able to feel some heat shortly after plugging in. This was a pretty good element but they do fail, re313366 is what you most likely need (or an equivalent tank heater from parts house).

Wouldn't happen to know what size the line is would you? I'm not around my tractor currently.

hoses are 5/8'' inside diameter 14'' & 16'' long

Looks like what's on my 2030, gets very hot to the touch. 20-30 minutes and it starts the tractor easy.

If "hot", electrical cord, and oily surrounding "per the pic" shown, then I'd consider some serious de-greasing.
My recollection of these heaters in my cars and my old 2-cyl 420 JD was they were not very long lasting or of highest quality materials.

I would consider a Taco circulation pump a better way to go. Used for hydronic heating and is a common pump to purchase with magnetic drive and uses replaceable cartridges. Install it in line before the heater element.

Anyone have experience with this?

I have this unit installed in mine and with the exceptionally cold weather I have used it. 20-30 min makes starting so much easier.
