2305 PTO lever

Does anyone have experience with the pto selector lever breaking the bolt where it threads into the shaft? The bolt broke pretty much flush at the end of the shaft. Is there a way to get that shaft out without disassembling the whole rear end?

I think you can get that from JD or Green Tractor Parts. I’m not that good at finding that stuff.

Are you talking about bolt 12?
And is it down below the level of the frame rail?

Logan did you ever find a fix? I had the same issue with my 2305 I have to either manually switch the PTO or keep it in the both position.

Did you ever find a solution for this, just happened with my JD 2305

That happened to my 2305 many years ago. I had fluid in the tires, tire chains and 2 weights on each wheel. With all that stuff in the way, I got lazy and hauled it to the dealer to fix.

I was told it was an easy fix but when I asked how they did it, the guy just smiled and said something like "experience". They get paid for what they know.
