2210 utility light hookup

I bought a cheap utility light at TSC to mount to the ROPS on my 2210. (Using it for lighting up the rear when snowblowing)
I notice a connector under the seat-is this what I should use to power it? What switch activates it? Is the red + and the black -?

Should be the same as my 2305. Yes it is there for aux. lighting. It is activated when you turn on the headlights with the switch. Red is pos. Standard spade connectors will work, or you can purchase the connector through deere as a part. I went with spade connectors. I also drilled the case on my aux. light and mounted a small round rocker switch on it so the light isn't on if I don't need it.

That's it. Also, the advantage of using this vs the 'T' connectors JD sells is that this connector will be 'dead' when you have the flashers and the lights on. (You won't want to blind anyone behind you if you are on a roadway).

If you had connected it to the tail lights it would be on all the time.

I did the same. I welded a lug on the top of my ROPS (2305) and ran the wires inside the rops tube. I have a 55watt light.

JD--if you haven't mounted it on the ROPS yet--consider getting a magnetic base for the light. You can easily point it forwards or backwards--depending on what you are doing, and since it is inside the ROPS, tends to not get knocked off.

Okay, here's my utility light mounting. I used a standard spade connector to the wire you said you found under the seat which on mine is above the top link. Plugging into this allows use of the factory dash mounted light switch. (in the lower right corner of photo you can see the wire that I connected to)
